  • Proclamation

    The proclamation seperated colonial and Indian lands. Leaders of the Colonies made the proclamation because they feared that if colonists continued to move onto Indianlands that more fighting would breakout. This caused the people that already settled there to have to move out and nobody could move into Indian territory. None of the colonists liked that they couldn't get more land for themselves.
  • Sugar Act

    The sugar act was made to help parliament pay for the French and Indian War. The Sugar Act was when parliament raised the price of sugar and molasas. This angered the colonists so parliament ended it.
  • Stamp Act

    With the Sugar Act gone, Parliament had to come up with a new way to help pay for the French and Indian War. Thats when they came up with the Stamp Act. The Stamp Act made people buy a stamp whenever they bought a paper item. Imedeitly after the it was past, colonists protested.
  • Townshend Act

    The townshend act was yet another way to make colonists pay more taxes. The townshend act put taxes on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. Once again, the colonists protested so much that parliament ended it.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    In Boston, 1770, fights between British troops and the people of Boston were common. One day the British soliders shot into crowds of citizens killing five people and injuring others. Because of this event, they had a trial that led to no further violence.
  • Tea Act

  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston tea party was when members of the Sons of Liberty dressed up as Mohawk Indians and boreded cargo ships carrying British tea. There they took all of the tea and dumped it overboard into the harbor. This event led to the American Revolution.
  • Intolerable Acts

    The intolerable acts was five differnt acts. The Boston port act closed the port of Boston until the east India company was paid for the lost tea. The Massachusetts government act modified the charter of 1691, taking away many of it rights to self government. The administration of justice act provided that British officials accused of committing crimes in a colony might be taken to England for trial. The quartering act allowed the British to quarter British soldiers in colonial buildings.

    common Sense challenged the authority of the British government and the Royal Monarchy. It was the work to openly ask for independence from Great Britain.

    General Cornwallis was lossing the Carolina's so he attacket Yorktown. With the help of a French fleet, general Washington was able to defeat Cornwallis's army.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The tready of Paris ended the revalutionary war.
