-It was important because it made the colonists have to start paying taxes on imported sugar and molasses and this didn't make them happy

-The Stamp Act ended because of the boycotts the colonists made, so there wasn't enough trade with Britain. The British repealed it on March 1766 -
Townshend Acts
-The Townshend Acts were important because during it the colonists had taxes plced on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. These taxes led to tension, and eventually the Boston Massacre
-The repeal of the Stamp Act led to it.
-During the event, the British used writs of assisstance to enforce the Townshend Acts
-The colonists thought the Townshend Acts took too much power away from colonial government and gave it to the royal officials. -

-This event was important because the colonists used it as propaganda
-The Townshend Acts caused this event. /the colonists didn't want to pay their taxes and were fighting with the British, and eventually the tension broke.
-During the event, a British sentry got into a fight with a colonist and hit him, drwing a crowd. Someone yelled "Fire!" and the British who had gathered fired their guns at the colonists. In the end tought, only five people were killed. -

-The Boston Massacre led to the death of five civilians, which made some colonists want to rebel -
Tea Act
-The Tea Act was important because many colonists opposed it, making them want to do something to the British to rebel

-During the event, The colonists dumped the 90,000 pounds of tea that was being shipped to them from Britain into the Boston Harbor

-The Battle of Bunker Hill was important because it was a moral victory for the colonists
-The Battle of Concord caused it because the British withdrew to Boston, where minutemen surrounded the city, causing the Batttle of Bunker Hill

-The colonists first tried to fight back, but eventually retreated, realizing it would be impossible to beat the British

Common Sense
-Common Sense was important because it argued for breaking away from Britain and its ideas spread throughout the colonies

-The pamphlet was written by Thomas Paine about how the colonies should seperate from Britain. Paine's ideas spread through the colonies as more and more people read his Common Sense document

-During the event, a treaty was signed and independence was granted to the colonists by defining the boundries of the new country
