    • The Great Awakening was an unorginized movement of evangelic sermons and church meetings.
    •The Grat Awakening renewed the peoples faith and gave them a sense of equality.
    •George whitefield held revivals and gained thousands of followers.

    • The treaty of paris is signed which gives canada and all land east of the missisipi except new orleans to the British.

    • A british guard was being harrased by a citizen so the guard hit him with his rifle.
    • people found out and it made them angry so the crowd started

    The boston tea party is an event were the colonists disquised themselves as native americans to board a british vessel and they dumped 90,000 pounds of tea.
  • Intolerable acts

    The intolerable acts had four laws. Law one forced boston harbor to be shutdown until the colonists paid for the lost tea.The second law stated the colonys legislature could only meet when the governer commanded, and they canceled the massachusets charter. Law three moved trials of royal officials to england so they got a fair trial.Law four mde colonists house british soldiers.

    After the British retreated militia waited for reinforcmentsbefore they held boston under siege.The british prepared to take charlestown, but the colonies dug defensive trenches.The british carried on with the assault mostly attacking breeds hill. colonists reatreated loosing some 400 men while thebritish lost more than 1,000.

    Burgoyne moved his troops into york. Burgoyne and his men were outnumbered by Howes men and Burgoyne suffered a major defeat at the battle of saratoga giving the colonists a major victory.

    General washington and Rochambu joined lafayettes forces. and there french allies surround the fortress. And the british were outnumberd. while this was happening the french fleet kept british reinforcements from arriving. Fearing a bloody defeat genaral cornwallis surrenders.
