    Active 1920-1950. Genres included mainly Jazz also Big Band, Swing, & Dixieland. He was a member of different groups such as, The Dorsey Brothers, California Ramblers, Dorsey's Novelty Six, J. Carson McGee's King Trumpeters, & others. Dorsey was an accomplished reed player, specializing in the alto saxophone & clarinet. One of the top bandleaders of the swing era; he scored a series of hits establishing his orchestra as one of the most successful recording and preforming units of the early '40s.

    Active 1933-1959. Billie was a very famous vocalist. Famous for Jazz blues, vocal Jazz, R&B, swing, and blues. Also known as Lady Day. Her birth name was Eleanora Fagon. She was important because she was known as one of the best jazz vocalists of all time. She even made it to the Rock and roll hall of fame! I chose Billie Holiday because i listened to some of her songs while researching and she had an amazing voice with a good message.

This topic is important because it marked the begging of the Holocaust.

Concluded only a few days prior to the beginning of WWII. I chose this topic because I found it interesting that two countries could just agree to not fight.
