  • OKC Bombing

    OKC Bombing
    The Oklahoma City Bombing was a domestic terrorist attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on the second anniversary of the end of the Waco siege. There were 680 people injured, as well as 168 deaths. Timothy McVeigh was the perpetrator, as his motives were childhood psychological trauma and the overwhelming amount of content from Waco, Texas he had seen. The weapon used was an ANFO fertilizer truck with bombs and he also had a Glock 21 Gen 2 on him, though he did not use it.

    The Clinton–Lewinsky scandal was an affair scandal between Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, a White House intern. Their relationship began when Clinton was 49 and Lewinsky was 22 and lasted 18 months. There was an affidavit signed by Lewinsky denying that there ever was an affair, though many sources say she kept Clinton's garments. She has since rebranded herself as a writer and activist against harassment.

    Columbine
    The Columbine High School Massacre was a shooting and attempted bombing in Columbine, Colorado that ultimately claimed the lives of 15 people in the school. It was the deadliest mass school shooting until it was surpassed by the Sandy Hook shooting in 2012. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold planted several homemade bombs within the school. When they failed to detonate, they resorted to their shooting attack.
  • The Y2K Bug

    The Y2K Bug
    This was a computer bug that caused computers to have problems with dates going past December 31st, 1999. Banks, which calculate interest rates on a daily basis, faced real problems because the date was set back to 1900, so interest rates were charging customers minus 100 years. Not having the correct date in power plants also posed a threat because it could not properly check radiation or water pressure levels. Transportation schedules were also at risk. For America, gross domestic product fell by 4.3%, the unemployment rate doubled to about 10% and home prices fell roughly 30%.
