    The Missouri Compromise
    Henry Clay was the one came up with the Missouri compromise. This event took place because many people were fighting over if a new state that was added would be free or slave. In this event Henry clay proposed the idea of drawing an imaginary line, and if the state was above the line it would be free, if the state was below the line then it was a slave state. This event impacts history because now Americans wouldn't debate about weather a state was free or not. This event took place in Missouri.

    Wilmot Proviso
    This event included Wilmot Proviso and James Polk. This event happened because James Polk didn't want a new slave state. In this event Wilmot Proviso was assigned to get rid of slavery in the new land that the us won from the us Mexican war. James Polk soon backed up Wilmot Proviso by proposing a treated of 2 million dollars after the war started. This event impacted history because now the us was in danger to have the salve state balance uneven.

    In the compromise of 1850 there was a series of 5 bills passed, to help the north and the south, be balanced in slave laws and anti-salve laws.This event to took place because the north and the south were disagreeing about slavery. This event took place in both and the north and south. This event impacted history because now even though both sides got pros, the norht got mad becuase they thought that the south got better pros then the north.

In this event any northers that were caught with slave, or helping slave were thrown into jail. This event took place in the north. This event took place because the southerns felt that the rule of slavery for better for the north. This event impacted history because the north became really mad at the south cause of the stupid rules of the fugitive slave law.

In this event tensions started rising when the people in the north read the book, because the people in the north started getting mad at the south for such horrible slave conditions. This event took place all across the us. It took place because the northern were mad. This event impacted history because from this point northers knew what slaves had to go through.

    This event involves all people in the territories of Nebraska and Kansas. In this event congress took act and said that any people in the territory of Kansas and Nebraska will use popular sovereignty to decide the states fate. This event took place cause congress didn't know how to decide if a state was slave or free. It impacted history because the war it lead to was horrible.

    In John brown's raid, john brown and his band were the people involved. Also this event took place on a government stronghold. In John Brown's raid him and his crew invaded the stronghold. This happened because John Brown needed weapons to kill people. This event impacted history cause John Brown ended up getting caught, and thrown into jail.

    This event involved all the four presidential candidates at the time, including the winner Abraham Lincoln. In this event the Abraham Lincoln wins the election and the south starts to secede. This happens because the south didn't want an anti-slavery president. This impacted history because the south started to secede.

    The southern secession involved the southern states. It took place in the south. This event took place cause Lincoln was elected president. It was important because without this southern secession, there wouldn't be a civil war.
