The Indian Removal Act gave the Federal Government the power to make indian tribes move off their homeland and west of the Mississippi on the "Trail of Tears." -
Worchester v. Ga
In Worchester v. Ga, Worchester sent a case to the federal government stating that Georgia passed the line moving his family out west and it was against his constitutional rights. Worchester won because it violated his 14th admendment rights. -
Nullification Crisis
As Jackson was settling into his presidency, a crisis popped up, the Nullification Crisis. South Carolina didn't like the Tariffs placed on foreign goods, so they just wanted to nullify from the U.S.,b but Henry Clay passed Clay's Compromise in which a president would have more power when a state wants to nullify
