Rush of New Immigrants; The Chinese Exclusion Act
With a new wave of immigrants entering the US. Racial Purist were fearful of the mix of races eventual occurring. Congress passed "The Chinese Exclusion Act" anyone in this ethnic group wasn't allowed into the US. Later in 1890 Congress added a limit on certain ethnicity's in based on United States population. -
American Expatiation Overseas
Many Industrialists were interested in new markets for their products, as well as finding cheaper resources too. This is the first step of America expanding beyond its own country -
The Spanish-American War

Construction was extremely difficult. No one had ever seeing anything like this before. This made any kind of shipping from one side of the U.S to the other much more efficient , safer, and fast. Without the help of Walter Reed and William Gorgas the Panama Canal may have never existed

The Harlem Renaissance
The Harlem Renaissance was the re-start of African American Culture in society. Many African Americans migrated from the south to the north of the US, many were not welcomed with "open arms" and were forced into "slums" the largest of them all was called "Harlem". The Great Depression
The worst economic crash of the entire 20th century was "The Great Depression". America has never seen anything like it before at the time. Many Americans lost all their life savings due, even more lost their jobs the unemployment rate reached to 1.5 million Americans to an even lower 12 million in 1932.

Pearl Harbor
On December 7th of 1941, bombs rained on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii from Japanese planes. Over 3,000 Americans passed away from this attack, this was the" last straw" for many Americans who choose to finally get involved with World War Two.

Vietnam War
America offered assistance to South Vietnam after being threatened with Communism by North Vietnam. The Vietnam War was tiring for both The Untied States and Vietnam. Near the end of the war many American Soldiers felt hopeless with the acts done. Running out of resources The United States choose to head home with a loss on it's shoulders.

Women wanted birth control, better paying jobs, have less children, and not just be the typical "Housewife". Although the duty of equality between Men and Women has still not been completed. The Start of School Shootings
At the end of the 1990s the United States was shifting from bad to even worse. The increase of school shootings began, the first shooting occurring at Columbine, Colorado where over 13 students lives were taken from them. Many people today agree that by putting the shooters from Columbine on a accidental pedestal by the media this may have caused others to follow in their foot steps.
