  • Proclamation of 1763

    This proclamation did not allow colonists to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains. The British government feared the conflict between colonists and Native Americans would lead to another war. They also could not afford to pay British troops to defend the western lands. Colonists were enraged by this proclamation because they felt they had won the right to settle in Ohio River Valley after winning the French and Indian War.

    Parliment passed the quartering act in 1765, and there was a cost that was saving measure to recuire colonist to quarder or house british soilders.
  • Town Shend Acts

    carls townshend told parliment that they had an idea to rise revenue in the colonies. The plan that he had was known as the townshend acts. The first of the townshend acts suspended newyorks assembely until new york agreed to provide housing for the troops.
  • Tea Act and The Boston Tea Party

    Boston tea party about people wanting to protest for tea so they droped tea in boxex into the ocean. The tea act was about people that couldnt get tea just from anywhere and had to pay taxes for it.

    parliment passed laws to punish the massacusette colony. they named the act intolerable act. the british called those rulles the coercive acts.
  • Olive Branch Putition

    Colonist tried to make peace with the british by sending the Olive Branch Putition.When the Olive Branch Putition got sent to the Bristish king, he rejected it.

    This was the first battle of the revolutionary war. This was known famous because of a shot heard around the world. The british had almost 700 troops but the colonist had less but the british kept on calling in more troops.
