Vietnamese Attacks
The Vietcong capture Binh Gia in January and early Febuary, On Febuary 7 the Vietcong attack a US helicoptor base. In Qui Nonh the Viet Cong place a bomb in a hotel killing 23 Americans. -
Operation Rolling Thunder
President Johnson authorizes operation Rolling Thunder, whichs purpose is to bomb and stop North Vietnam from supporting the Viet Cong. March 2 is the first bomb raids run. -

There are more than 385,000 men in Vietnam, 60,000 sailors stationed off-shore. More than 6,000 Americans killed and over 30,000 wounded. Estimated VC troops killed over 61,000. They have more than 285,000 troops. -
Tet Offensive
On the Tet Holiday the Vietcong attack over 100 South Vietnamese cities. By the end of the offensive over 37,000 VC troops were dead. The attack was a more hurtful towards the VC. -
