This was crucial to the Vietnam War.

    During the beginning of 1965, the United States finally decided to pull into the Vietnam War, which was already devastating as is, but with more forces joining, all sides experienced great war, and devastating losses to their forces.     During the Spring of 1966, the losses towards the United States posed in the Vietnam War began to stack up greatly, with American trooper losses outweighing South Vietnam's trooper losses. This caused the war to become highly controversial back in the U.S, and many began to oppose the war.     During the month of January, 1968, North Vietnam released multiple waves of heavy offenses during the Vietnam War. This harmed many troopers, and civilians alike, and made many famous battles possible like the battle of Saigon, which was enacted at the capital, and was devastating and infamous for the Vietnam War on both sides of the war.     During May of 1968, the United States, South Vietnam, and North Vietnam began to negotiate terms of peace towards the war, which was brutal for both sides up until this point.
