Growing bigger
First takeover took place in 1965 when Volkswagen bought Auto Union GmbH, Audi.
In 1982 it signed co-operation agreement with Seat and in 1991 with Skoda. Also it bought up luxury car maker Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini.
