    Jefferson won the reelection by 8 points. The Democratic - Republican party beat the federalists in this election. Tomas Jefferson is the new president.

  • Embargo Act

    This act prohibits all trade from all foreign countries. This caused the market to collapse and alot of people became unemployed. This act was unpopular so it was dropped. It also caused an uproar.
  • Madison becomes President

    Madison becomes President
    Madison beats Pinckney by 75 points. Once again, they beat the Federalists. Madison becomes the new president. He had a massive win in electoral votes.

  • Battle of Tippecanoe

    The battle of Tippecanoe is about settlers moving westward to get more land. As doing so, they ignored treaties with the Native Americans. They moved on their reserved land so, the native are about to fight back. But when they where planning to fight back, we attacked and won. But, they joined forces with Britain, which is going to cause trouble later on.
  • War of 1812 Begins

    The war of 1812 begins but, The United States weren't prepared at all. Most of the soldiers who where in the american revelution where to old or slow to fight. They also had a lot of poorly trained soldiers and a lot of them had little to no experience. They did poorly, often surrender and where afraid of fighting.
  • Battle of Lake Erie

    The British and the United States fought over lake Erie. The British with their Native American allies lost the battle and got defeated. The United States won and got lake Erie. It was United States territory now.
  • Battle of Thames

    After the batte of lake Erie, the brittish tried to escape. But, the United States millitary cut them off and defeated them again. This was a big victory for the United States but it destroyed the british and their army. Also, Tecumseh, was killed in the battle of Thames.
  • British burn Washington D.C.

    The British sailed into the heart of Chesapeak Bay. They defeated the troops on the outside and went into Washington, D.C. They attempted to burn the city to the ground but there where thundershowers that put out the flames before buildings and objects where completely destroyed. Then they went north to Baltimore. But they didn't realise that the people of Baltimore are going to fight back. The people of Baltimore stood firm and defeated the British.
  • Treaty of Ghent

    The Treaty of Ghent is a treaty that both the British and the United states signed to have peace with each other. However, this treaty didn't add already existing borders or netrual rights or the impressment of sailors. This treaty was only asking for peace.
  • Battle at Lake Champlain

    The battle of Lake Champlain convinced the Brittish that they should retreat and stop the fighting. Once again, they where defeated by the United States military and they surrendered into Canada.
  • Battle at New Orleans 1815

    Battle at New Orleans 1815
    This gruesome battle was another victory of the United States. This was also the last battle at the time between the British and the US. We won this battle by taking cover behind cotton bales. The bales shielded them from the british bullets and protected them. When the brittish where close enough, they opened fire. The British couldn't take cover so they got defeated.
