Granada was the last Muslim kingdom in Spain. This year also involved the expulsion of the Jews, and Columbus making landfall was important because otherwise this chapter would not exist. -

The English were colonizing too, they took Jamaica, which is an island in the “indies”. Jamaicans speak mainly English to this day. -

Gold and silver discoveries across the colonies led to inflation across Europe, which propelled massive economic expansion. -
