Picasso had painted a painting called, "Guernica" because German had bombed Guernica and more than sixteen hundred people died. Picasso was outraged that so many innocent people had died. This picture showed a screaming horse, a screaming women on fire falling from a burining house, and a mother holidng her dead baby. -

Picasso had lived through 3 wars and knew that the world needed peace. So Picasso made a poster of a dove for the Peace Congress. The dove sign became a symbol of peace all around the war. This event is important because this event helped the world have peace. -
