    After being rejected 21 times Golding finally got Lord of the Flies published, he made other novels but none of them had the same impact as Lord of the Flies. Lord of the Flies was a story about children stranded on an island and how eventually they all died or became savage beasts who enjoyed maddening rituals and slaughtering pigs.
