    William Shakespeare was born in stratford -upon-avon. He was baptized in the Holy Trinity Parish Church of Stratford. His father, John Shakespeare, was a glove maker and tradesman. His mother, Mary Arden, grew up on a farm with her family. William was the first born of 8 children born, however the 2 children before him died as babies.

    Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway when he was 18 years old and she was 26. She was pregnant at the time and since it was unacceptable for a women to be pregnant and not married they had no other choice. At that time she was pregnant with their first child Susanna who was born only 6 months after their wedding. Two years later they had twins, Judith and Hamnet. As the kids were growing up they lived in Stratford with Anne and shakespeare moved to London.

This was considered a great defeat against the strongest country in the world.

    Roanoke colony was located in America where present day North Carolina is. This colony was founded by Sir Walter Raleigh. The first colonists didn't last long due to indian attacks, low food supply, and illnesses. Raleigh ordered John White to gather supplies and 100 colonists to come back. When John white returned there was nobody there and to this day nobody knows why. There are many different theories but no proof. Roanoke was the first failed colony in North America.

    Shakespeare wrote this play early in his career. He wrote it based off of Arthur Brooke's poem " The Tragical History of Romeus and Juliet". The poem was based off of two people that died for one another in the act of love. Even though this wasn't fully shakespeare's idea he still got full credit for the play. Writing this popular tragedy drew attention to him and his plays for the better. This play was performed all over London and so many people attended.

    The Globe Theatre was built with the help of shakespeare and his playing company. The first ever production was Julius Caesar the year of opening. It was one of the most popular theaters in London. Once you got in it was so crowded you could barely move, it was filled with mostly 3,000 people. The theatre wasn't just for entertainment but if you had a balcony seat it showed you were very rich. The Globe helped Shakespeare expand his career and social status.

    The first production was Julius Caesar. It was performed with about 15 actors. Young boys had to play the women parts because they weren't allowed to act. Before the play started a trumpet went off to alert the people. People behind the actors would tell them their lines before saying them. 3,000 people could fit in the theatre and during this play that limit was significantly reached. This play encouraged the audience and many more to attend the following plays.

    The first astronomical telescope was invented by Galileo Galilei. He invented many useful devices and this is most important. Throughout Europe there was models of telescopes being made that could magnify up to 3 times. However, he thought he could create something even better and he did. He constructed a telescope that could magnify up to 20 times. This was important at the time, it worked so well he saw the moon. Later, he was able to make so many more discoveries.

    Johann Kepler was studying the orbit of mars for a long time. When the astronomer, Tycho Brahe died, Kepler collected all of his data to study. Kepler made some discoveries and published 2 of 3 of the planetary laws of motion. He proved that planets move around the sun in ellipses not circles which was what everyone had believed. Also, motions the planets make involving the sun. This was astonishing because everyone thought the theories they had always known were true.

    All of the theaters were closed down for the black plaque so writers had to find a different way of working. Shakespeare wrote sonnets to get money while he couldn't produce plays.     The Globe Theatre caught on fire during a performance of " Henry VIII". Shakespeare used real props during his plays for special effects and during the play the cannon actually went off. The globe Theatre was made up of timber and a thatched roof, which led the Globe to go up in flames. This was devastating because this was one of the most popular theaters in London. Later in 1614 the Globe theatre was rebuilt with qualities to make it better.

He was buried at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-Upon-Avon. There is proof that Shakespeare was sick for a while before his life had come to an end so it was no surprise.
