On January twenty second 1973 SCOTUS voted on Row V. Wade which granted abortions protections under the right to privacy. -
LETS LOBBY
After Ken Edeline was imprisoned for performing an abortion federal lobbying efforts were doubled down on. -
The Hyde Amendment
In 1977 supported by congressman Henery J. Hyde the Hyde amendment was passed which made it illegal for federal funds to fund abortions. -
New Campaign
NARAL launches the “Abortion Rights, Silent No More” campaign, using the slogan “We are Your Mothers, Your Daughters, Your Sisters, Your Friends, and Abortion is a Choice We Have Made.” -
Anti-Abortion SCOTUS Nomination
In 1987 Reagan attempted to place an antiabortion justice in the SCOTUS but due to lobbying those efforts were thwarted. -
March on D.C.
70,000+ people marched on DC on the SCOTUS ruling that rolled back reproductive rights. -

SCOTUS strikes down a Nebraska ban on second trimester abortions, invalidating similar laws in many other states. -

In the first few days of his presidency, former President Barack Obama signs several executive orders, including a repeal of the Global Gag Rule. -

Obama signs the affordable care act into law which states that insurance company's must co-pay birth control. -

Federal lobbying efforts starting from a grass roots campaign in Georgia successfully keep Neil Gorsuch off of the SCOTUS. -
Reality Check
NARAL launches Reality of Roe, a major campaign to educate Americans in all 50 states about the current threat to the legal right to abortion. -
