    Historical perspective: we all know that Germany wanted to prove it's superiority by winning the war.
    so it used belgium routes, in this way they would atack france.
    This was and war tactic(short cut).
    cause and effect: the cause was to attack France by a surprise and capture paris.
    That's why it belgium route to take France by suprise. belgium declared the war on Germany and France came to know about the German statergy.

    Cause and effect: Germans recorded over 134,000 casualties and about 7900 of them were killed. 29000 were wounded and 17000 went missing.
    No side won the battle as there was constant hostility and fire. With poor planning Resulting in killing of generals and loss of land.
    Historical significance:it was the first battle of the world war 1, with constant cross fire and use of a large number of guns for the first time.

    after the creation of the metalic helmets britain had starting winning battles. continuty and change: helmets back then were pretty weak.

    there was lack of soldiers in war thats why britain thought it necessary to pass this act. historical significance: the introduction of this act forced many british people to sign up for the war, even if thet were not willing to.

    cause and effect: the cause was that, britain had to recover the loss of soldiers it faced in the previous battles. and this effected the number of soldiers signing up for the war (the number increased) ethical dimension; although it was ethically wrong to force people into signing up but this had to be done to save the country.

    historical significance: 75000 man stood shoulder shoulder on a 25 mile border 6000 thousand of them go missing, die or get badly wounded for a littlle gain. cause and effect: british more soldiers then it ever could in a battle. this made them realize that now they have to step up the game and come with a brilliant plan.

    this fear from tanks caused alot of soldiers to retaliate.
