Battle of Bataan
The Japanese attacked the Phillipinos and the Americans were there to help defend them. The land was eventually recaptured but millions of soldiers died in the Bataan death march, which lasted about 5 days after their initial defeat. -
Battle of Stalingrad
Germany fights for control of Stalingrad in this battle. The resuslts were almost 2 million casualities and victory for the Russians. -
Battle of Guam
The Japanese Empire had a goal of capturing Guam. The US found it impossible to prevent this from happening, but evenutally our forces retook the island.
