World War l has ended.
At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the Great War ends. The First World War left nine million soldiers dead and 21 million wounded. Also with Germany, Russia, Austria-Hungary, France, and Great Britain each losing nearly a million or more lives. So clearly it was a very deadly war but because of that, World War l will forever be in our history. -

This armistice was the first step towards the end of World War l. After over 4 years of fighting they realized it was enough and a Armistice was made. Many people were celebrating, dancing through the streets and drinking champagne, and hailing the armistice. -

The Treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty made at the end of World War I. It ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. It was signed on 28 June 1919, exactly five years after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
