    Assassination of Ferdinand
    The assassination of Ferdinand was the spark of World War 1. Ferdinand was in line to be the new leader of his country. It really started the world war. It made everybody invovled mad and was a tragic day.
  • Lusitania

    Lusitania
    The Lusitania was blew up on May 7, 1915. It was a British ship and was blew up by Germany. Germany thought that it had supplies on it. After they blew it up the British were not very happy and it just added fuel to the fire and helped start the war.
  • Election of 1916

    Election of 1916
    The electiion of 1916 was between Democratic Woodrow Wilson and Republican Charles Evan Hughes. It was a close race but Wilson got the victory over Hughes. One of the reasons that Wilson one was because of the slogan "He kept us out of war". It was a very close race with a little over two percent winning margin.

    The Russian Revolution was one of the reasons they had to withdraw form World War 1. They did not have the money to continue fighting. The Russians government were rebelled against and they could not have fighting everywhere so they withdrew from the war.

    The Selective Service Act was when the United States made the draft legal. They started the draft to get more soilders for the military. It worked and they drafted alot of men for the army. This also helped the women get rights by letting them have the men's jobs and letting them prove themselves.

    The War Industries Board is a United States Government agency that was created to determine how they would get supplies for war. They were in charge of deciding what factories would be used for making war supplies and what would stay "normal" factories. They also set quotas for companys for the production rate.

    The Zimmerman Note was a note send to Mexico from Germany. Germany's aspirations were to start a two front war with the United States. They did not know that the note would be intersepted and decoded. Germany offered Mexico some of the United States terriories if they won.

    The fourteen points were Wilson's reform plan for the United States. Most of them were ignored but few mattered. The League of Nations were on of the points put into play. The League of Nations were a watchdog to prevent war.

    The Espionage and Sedition Act was mostly about spys. Well the fear of spys in the United States. The US had the power to arrest people for talking and not tell them why. The citizens were upset because the constitution said that tey had that right but the US said they did but NOT in a time of war.

    Armistice is where we tried to give Germany wanted. We felt bad for them after world war one. So we gave them there army back and some other things. Then they made us regret it.

    Schenek V. United States was a court case about upholding the Espionage and Sedition Act. Edward D. White was the judge and decided that the Act was upheld. Even though Charles Schenck argued that it was unconstitional White sided with the Government.
  • Treaty of Versallies

    Treaty of Versallies
    The Treaty of Versallies was one of the treaties that ended World War One. It was signed June 28th, 1919 by Germany surrendering to the United States and the Allied Powers. IT made Germany give money back to the Allied Powers.
