US Passes Selective Service Act
This act gave President Wilson the power to draft soldier to serve in WWI. Before the draft the US had about 100,000 volunteer soldiers. After the draft 10 million men registered and 2.4 million of them of served in the war. The drafted proved to be significant throughout the war as it provided fresh troops for the allied powers. -

After the war the senate voted on joining the league of nations it got denied. they had a second vote and again it got denied. The U.S did not approve of what the league of nation said.
