    The British make the first tanks ever used in battle, at Delville Wood. Although they are useful at breaking through barbed wire , they failed to be the decisive weapon. Some of the tanks had genders.

    Bixby Becomes a Pilot
    Bixby transferred to the school of military Aeronautics in Texas in 1918 for pilot training. He was involved in a plane crash when a student froze at the controls.

    The Germans sign a peace treaty with the new Bolshevik government of Russia. Germany recieved more land, and peace on the Eastern Front allows Germany to shift soldiers to the Western Front, causing serious problems for British, and Americans.

  • Rex Bixby Crashed

    Bixby was injured in a crash and one of his fellow pilots was killed during a training mission. The crash was located at March Fields,Riverside, California.
