1914 Serb nationalist assassinated the Archduke. The person who assaasinated him was part of the "Black Hand". At 10:10 Nedjelko Cabrinovic hurled a hand grenade at the Archduke. -

At 2:12 May 7th, the 32,000 ton ship was hit and sunk by a terpedo.The ship had 1959 passangers, 1198 killed, including 128 Anericans. The captin ingored the British Admirltys recommendations. -

British cryptographers decipherd a telegram from Germany. The message was to Mexio offering US territories if they joined them in the war. It was one of the key factors that sent the US into the war. -
