    On Sunday, 28 June 1914, the 50-year-old heir to the Austrian-Hungarian throne, the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, the Countess Sophie, paid an official visit to Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia, to inspect troops of the Austrian-Hungarian army.

A terrorist threw a grenade which exploded on the car after the Archduke’s. Archduke and his wife were unhurt but some of his attendants were injured. on the way there, the driver took a wrong. Gavrilo took this chance & fired two bullets, the1st hit the pregnant Sophia, and the 2nd hit Archduke killing both of them.
