    He was assassinated by a member of a Serbian group. The group's name is the “Black Hand”. The assassination wanted to start a war bring down the Austria- Hungarian Empire.

    In 1919, Edward J. Bayon married a french girl so he left the army post. The war had already ended with so Edward so Edward decided to get married and get a different job. But, he wanted to stay in France because his wife was French.

    The treaty was the peace treaty to the end of WWI.The treaty was signed by the Germany and The Allies.The treaty was signed on June 28, 1919.

    In 1919 and then got a job at the American Graves Registration Service. Edward loaded caskets for 2 years. After putting in work loading 928 caskets in three different barges to transport, he was selected Chief Conveyor of Airwerp. So him and his wife had to move.

    Edward and his wife left April 8, 1921 at 4:40 pm.They were pulled by horses who were directed by a steels man. Which on each of the boats the steels man that led them, would cook meals for Edward and his wife. Edward and his wife bought a stream barge, which they couldn’t use until they arrived in the large canals.

    On April 10, 1921 they reached a fog (Department in the northern-eastern France.To go through the fog you would have to pass through a tunnel and the tunnel was 5 kilometers long. After they passed Eviller the canal became larger and harder to travel so they dropped the horses, which led the steam power.

    On April 11, 1921 They stopped at St. Michel where the Americans had fought in the war. They were headed to Antwerp. But, most of the towns they stopped at were town leveled.
