Walter Bolts was know as Uncle Sam. He was liked and highly regarded among locals and soldiers who joking that obviously the initials referred to his own name, rather than the government's. He made pictures. He was a lawyer and confederate infantry officer. He graduated in 6th in his class at the military institute. He was born in 1835 and died in 1894. The united state's nickname is Uncle Sam. ( 1813).
