    Japanese Invasion of China
    Source UsedBegining in 1931, the Japanese saw China as a oppertunity to find more natural resources, and they also saw China's obvious weakness from their recent Civil War that occured within their country between communists and Nationalists. China caught the attention of the League of Nations, and they intervened with Japan's plans. Japan left the League of Nations outraged. Finally in 1937 what started as a small conflict called Marco Polo Bridge Incident, leading to a full blown battle.
  • Germany's Invasion of Poland

    Germany's Invasion of Poland
    Source UsedAfter the start of the war, it only took a couple of weeks for the entire Polish army to be defeated by Natzi Germany. Everything was surrendered to the germans on September 27th. Eventually Britain and France declared war on Germany. The Soveit Union then invaded eastern Poland on September 17. Following this, in October, Germany directly annexed former Polish territories along Germany's eastern border that the Soveit Union had ocupied.

    Source UsedBlitzkrieg was the German term for Lightning war. It was a Military tactic that was designed for a locally concentrated high about of firepower. They first tried this on Poland in 1939. Later they used this to invade Belgium and the Netherlands and France. This along with germany's advanced weapons caused them to have on of the leading militarys of this time. They were able to go in, succeed, and they get out quickly.
  • Fall of Paris

    Fall of Paris
    The Prime Minister during the time had tried for days before the invasion for France to hold on and wait for the American troops to enter into the battle and protect them. But it wasn't too long after that the German tanks rolled into Paric, and they already began to flee. Soon after the German Gestapo went to work arresting the Parisians and interrogating them as well. It was Canada who eventually aided the French and offered hope to Paris.

    This is what most people thought to be the Us introduction into WWII. This was when the Japanese bombed a harbor near Honulu Hawaii. Many lives were lost in this, much of the island was brought into destruction. The US were left outraged and eventually went back to fight off Japan, just as soon as they defeated Germany because when the US declared war on Japan, Germany thought they were declaring war on them. The US had battles on either side of them.

    Source UsedThis was a meeting that took place in a villa Berlin suburb between the high-ranking Nazi party and the German government officials. It was meant to discuss and coordinate the implemation of what was known by them as the "Final Solution of the Jewish Question". this was code name for a systematic deliberate physical annhilation of the European Jews. Hitler authorized a plan for mass murder of all the jews.
  • Battle of Midway

    Source UsedThis took place soon after Pearl Habor. The US planned to counter Japan's planned ambush of aircraft carriers. They wanted to inflict permanent damage on the Japanese Navy. The US were victorious in this. This happened because the US were able to figure out the Japanese code. Otherwise they would not have made as much success as they did. The battle began with torpedos and American Dive-bombers. They caught the japanese while refuling their planes as well.
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    Source UsedThis was known as a successful Soviet defense of the city of Stalingrad in the U.S.S.R. Russians consider this battle to be the highlight of their time in WWII. It was a successful stop of German invasion on the Russians. This battle was also known to be one of the bloodiest battles in History. With civilian and military casualties combined, 2 million lost their lives. It was also known as a turning point for the entire war.
  • Warshaw Ghetto Uprising

    Having already suffered heavy air attacks in 1939, German troops entered War shaw in September soon after their surrender. Germany soon began the establishment of a ghetto in Warshaw. This required all Warshaw people to go into their assigned areas. The entire area was enclosed in a big wall like a cage. Rebellions began to start up because of the fact that people were fed up with all the control.
  • Operation Gormorrah

    Source UsedThis was the day that Britain would take the stand as bombers began to raid Hamburg, Germany. This was an operation that took place during the night during the time of the german period of Blitz Week. Britains Civilions lost many lives during the German bomb attacks, threfore they were unhappy with what Germany was doing and sought out to attack them.

    This was what was written in a surrender terms for Japan after we defeated them and they surrendered that ended WWII. Once the Japanese agreed to these terms the war would no longer be going on and there would finally be peace. THis would enforce a full surrender of all Japanese arms to the US.

    In order to take down Nazi Germany, 160000 allied troops had landed along a 50-mile strech on the French coast line. By the end of the day these allies has gained a foot-hold on the continetal Europe. Though there were more than 9,000 allied lives lost, the battle ended up being a huge success for the US in WWII.

    This was started up by Hitler soon after they established the Warshaw Ghettos. Jews began to be known as prisoners of war and hitler intended on comitting mas murder on the jews during this time. He captured all the jews and put them in these work camps, to be totured and killed when they were no longer useful to the Germans

    The plan of this invasion was to have northern forces throw a net across the italian peninsula while the British army chased the Germans into it from the South. A common battle tactic of this time was the Gustac Line that was a German defence line that they used against their invasion on Italy.

    Just before they thought the was was over, Germany sound out a counteroffence that was intended to cut through the allied forces in a manner that would turn the war into Hitler's favor. Because of the US who joined into the battle, they were able to remain with freedom over tyranny.

    Source This was a firebombing that took place between Germany and Japan. It began in the German city of Dresden, and it went on for an entire 3 days. These bombings caused excessive horror among the German people. Soviet Russia also began to become part of this \bombing as they learned more and more about the destruction they hopped right on board.

    This was a part that was defended by the Japanese army and Navy troops who had fought from an elaborate detwork of caves, dugouts and tunnels. Eventually it was the Us flag that was then raised to victory after the battle. This was taken place on an island that was in Bonin 575 miles from the Japanese coast. This also took the damage from the atomic bombing that happened in Nagasaki.

    After the death of their leader Adolf Hitler, the Germans surrendered from the war. This caused a rejoice in Britain, huge crowds gathered in London the following day. VE day new the line for a new era. With the past defeat of Church hill in July, this signalled a new begining for the entire country and most of Europe. Britain had already begun to move on

    This was the first atomic bomb ever to be dropped. It dropped on a Japanese city named Hiroshima. This bomb killed nearly 90% of the entire city. Later even more would die from the radiation exposure. A couple of days later another bomb was dropped in Nagasaki. Killing another high amount of people in japan.

    This was the day that the Japan announced their surrender to the Allies. This finally put an end to World War 2. The VJ Day stands for Victoryover Japan Day. It was the day that we celebrate our victory over Japan, that finally ended the war after all these years of fighting down Germany and Japan.
