Japanese-Americans, German-Americans, and Italian-Americans were ordered by the president to be put away into internment camps. This was done out of fear of spies for the axis powers and because of this fear- they were not treated as innocent until proven guilty. -

This was the start of a crucial and decisive naval battle in the pacific theatre. -
D-Day
This was the day that Normandy was invaded to return its ownership to France and to seize it from the Nazi party.
