    Japan Declares War on China
    Japan declares war on China. Due to Japan being made out of mostly volcanic land the wanted to take over China to gain resources.

    Hitler created a secret program to kill all children under the age of five the show signs of mental or psychical disabilities. The program was so successful that he later explained the program to older teens and adults. Hitler hid this by saying that they would take them to a camp to help them and then say the died by a horrible accident. After years of this people became suspicious of this.

    Hitler attacks Both Austria and Czechslovakia
    Using a tactic called Blitzkrieg Hitler invaded both Austria and Czechoslovakia. The rest of the world does nothing and instead favors a system of policy of appeasement. Europe did not want to get involved as they did not want another World War. Hitler promised that after Czechoslovakia he would not go after any other land.

    After Hitler broke the treaty saying that he would not attack any other areas after Czechoslovakia both France and England declared war on Germany. He gained control over Poland by using the Blitzkrieg tactic. Blitzkrieg is attacking from all fronts. They trapped Poland in and slowly took over.

    Japan makes an alliance with both Germany and Italy known as the Axis powers. This alliance helps furthers Japan's plans and help supply them with resources that they did not have access to because of the land. Germany and Italy both had ulterior motives for working with Japan.

    Hitler sends the military power he has to Russia. Hitler wants Russia as a living space for his people. The battles take to long and Russia goes into the winter months. Due to the Russian military buring down anything they had to. Civilians were willing to fight the Nazis as well. Hitler was not willing to send food or clothing to his soldiers and as such many of them died trying to survive in the cold months.

    Japan attacked Pearl Harbor
    Japan needed to disable the US so that they could take over china. The Japanese air forces attacked Pearl Harbor. Over 2,000 Americans died. 180 US aircrafts shunk or were destroyed. As well as, 18 US Naval vessels sunk or were destroyed. This was a devastating attack on the US and killed thousands of US soldiers.

    FDR asks Congress to declare war on Japan
    One day after the Pearl Harbor attack, Roosevelt made a speech in front of Congress asking them to declare war on Japan due to there treason against the United States. Roosevelt states that it will be impossible for the United States to lose and as such should be a war they fight in.

    Due to Japan's alliance with Germany and Italy both declare war on the United States. This helps draw all the fire off of Japan and split it with the other Countries. Neither Germany or Italy attack the United States right then. But they do threaten to.

    Japan gains the Philippines, Guam, Dutch East Indies, Wake Islands
    Using the military forces Japan had at its disposal. They concurred four islands, two of which were currently owned by the United States. Japan used this islands as a strategic advantage against them in the war.

    Albert Einstein a Jewish refugee from Germany. Wrote a letter to the president saying that the usage of an Atomic bomb may be necessary in order to win. The president was in no hurry to build this bomb but he did ok the project. It started out very small with only a few people knowing about it. They tried to keep the bomb a secret to the enemy until they realized that a spie had been within their ranks. Even, Vice president Truman did not know about the bomb until he became president.     Executive Order 9066
    President Roosevelt issued that all people living in the United States with Japanese descent be locked up in internment camps which were holding cells. He did this so that any spie within the United States could not communicate with the enemy. However if you were in the military you were allowed to stay serving and visit your family in the camps.

    This was a 5-12 day march to a Prisoner of War camp. The prisoners were not allowed to stop walking. If they did they would be killed. They were given no food or water except for the last few days on the walk. Many people died either trying to help them or getting caught falling out of line. During the last days of the march they were given 1 rice ball per day. This is the only food he had to survive for those days.

    This was the turning point of the war in the Pacific. Over 5,000 Japanese soldiers died, 322 planes were shot down and 4 Aircraft carriers were are destroyed. This put a major dent in the Japanese army fleets and dropped there numbers a lot.

    The War Refugee Board Was created by President Roosevelt in order to allow more refugees from Germany to come to the US. He did this so that he could allow more Jews into the United States so the death total was not as high as it would have been. They allowed 200,000 Jewish refugees into the United States the year it was created.

    One of the final battles in the war. With outstanding death rates. We were able to attack a beach and slowly make our way into Germany.

    Russian, British and US troops start to liberate death camps. Thousands of prisoners had been saved by the soldiers.

    It is a small island of the coast of Japan by the time Americans were able to secure the island over 200,000 Japanese died and 7,000 Americans.

    During the last few months on of the war. The Nazis tried to cover up there war crimes by killing as many prisoners as the could.

    Europe was liberated from the Nazi party. Europe was liberated by the allied powers as they got to Germany.

    The first atomic bomb dropped during WWII also know as little boy it killed 80,000 people instantly as soon as it was dropped.

    The second atomic bomb dropped during WWII also know as fat man it killed 60 to 80 thousand people within the first months. This bomb was dropped three days after little boy.
