Was prooving the world was round, not flat, so he sailed the Atlantic ocean untill he came up to today's Guanahani, America. It would impacts our lives cause we would not be here and would not know about The United States of America.
  • The Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence describes how the Thirteen Colonies began to regard themselves as independent states and no longer part of the British Empire. The reason we celebrate on July, 4th is because that is the day that congress approved the Declaration of Independence. The author of The Declaration of Independence was Thomas Jefferson. The rough draft was written at the library of Congress. This effects us today because we wouldn't have the official rights we do what we are free to do.

During the first two years of George Washington's presidentcy consisting of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representitives. They elected George Washington this time by ballots. Other things also took place in the first United States Congress meeting. He avoided war with Great Brittan for peace and trade. This effects us today because we would't have had presidents most likely, have any trading goods from Great Brittan, and we may have lost our country in war.
  • Library of Congress

    Library of Congress
The Library of Congress was founded in 1800. It takes up 4 buildings in Washington D.C. Thomas Jefferson sold 6487 books to the library in 1815. Today, there are about 22765967 books in the library. This effects us today cause we wouldn't be as book smart in America today.
  • Lewis and Clark

    Lewis and Clark
It was the first expedition to the Pacififc Coast. Their objectives were to study plants, animals, and geography. The expedition lasted from 1804 to 1806. It affects us today because if we didn't have new land, we would not have land to build things. This effects us today because we wouldnt know as much as we do today in America about plant life, animals, and geography.

  • The U.S. and Brittish Empie War of 1812

The U.S. and Brittish Empie War of 1812
The war of 1812 was a military conflict between The United States and the British Empire. The war happened because of trade restrictions, America's sailors, American Expansion, and America's desire to Annex Canada. All of these are important because if it didnt happen, trade would be very limited due to nobody wanting to trade with us. This is important to us now because we wouldn't have had any trade and explorations.
