10 Significant Events in my Life

  • Birthday

I was born in Elkins Park Hospital at 1:06 in the afternoon on March 6, 1999. I was surrounded by my mother Khristina, of course, my father Michael, and older sister Stacie. I was born with a heart murmur so I had a surgery that I do not remember. The holes closed up when I was about 4 years old.
  • Moving Day

In 2004 my family and I, which now included my little sister Breanna, moved to Croydon, Pennsylvania so we could get a better education and better schooling. We moved right across from my elementary school, Maple Shade. Bristol Township has impacted my life better than the Philadelphia School District would have, so I'm thankful for having moving and attending Bristol Township School District.
  • Shine On Me Honey!

In the fifth grade my grandmother passed away. It took a really hard toll on my family because it was so unexpected. She lived with my family so it impacted all of us dramatically without her there. I worry about my mom sometimes because I feel as if she still isn't really over it and still is hurting hard. We have a tombstone in our backyard saying "Shine On Me Honey" because it was my grandmother's favorite saying.
  • First Graduation

    First Graduation
I graduated the sixth grade in June of 2011. This impacted me because it was my first time ever leaving something I had grown apart of and loved. I had to move on to middle school which was going to be completely different from elementary.
  • Hello Truman!

The first day of high school is a blur. I was so young thinking I was an adult since I am in high school now. This still has an impact on who I am today since I am still here, but Truman has really taught me things I'll never forget. Friendships, relationships, and being independent.
  • Licensed Driver

In the morning on my sixteenth birthday, my mom and I went straight to the DMV so I could get my driving permit. Six months later, I got my drivers license which was one of the happiest days of my life. I wanted to be able to drive on my own so I didn't have to rely on anyone else anymore. I also got a job right away this shows my independence and maturity, I wanted to grow up right away. Which I did. Ever since I've been working, I try to have my parents pay as less as possible for me.
  • First Car

    First Car
My car has become my most valuable thing I ever had. I'm very thankful to my parents for giving me a car. I always let my parents know just how thankful I am for them everyday. And also, my car is covered in my favorite gear!!
  • WE ARE!!

    WE ARE!!
Penn State has always been my dream school growing up so when I was finally able to apply I was so excited! I visited main campus back in August and fell in love with it immediately. I got accepted in December and I could never be more excited to start my life in such a perfect school. I am proud to say that I am continuing my education at Penn State. Go Lions!!!
  • Prom Queen!!

    Prom Queen!!
Senior year prom queen and it was awesome. Definitely the best moment of my life. Prom was so much fun and I am sad I will never be able to relive that moment.
  • See Ya Truman!

June 14 will be the best day of my life. I have been for so long and it is so close now it is almost surreal. Graduating and walking into the real world will be something I need to get a fresh start. I probably won't be as happy as I am now to be graduating and I will probably end up wishing I was still in Truman but for now I am living by Carpe Diem!!
