    (776 BCE) The Olympic Games were hosted in Olympia, Greece. Only freeborn men from any city/polis who met the entrance criteria were allowed to participate. This event was important because, it was not only a physical event, but a religious one. They created this event to honour of their Greek God Zeus.

    (400s BCE) Hippocrates was famous in medicine. In this time, many people were getting sick, so he decided to collect data and conduct experiments to show that disease was a natural process. This is important because he helped people from dying and found out ways to prevent it. He was also believed to free medicine from the shackles of magic, superstition and the supernatural.

    (447 BCE) The Parthenon was built on the Athenian Acropolis, an ancient in city in Greece by the athenians. It was built in honour of the greek goddess Athena. It was important to the ancient Athenians because it was a place for them to go pray, and speak to their gods.

    (404 BCE) The Peloponnesian war was between the Spartans and the Athens. They fought in Mainland Greece, Asian Minor, and Sicily. In the end, the Spartans defeated the Athenians. This is important because the battle reshaped the ancient Greece world.
