  • My little brother was born!

    My little brother was born!
My little brother was born on this day, he is currently 8 years old. This event is very important to me because, before he was born I was the only boy in the family. It is also important to me because he is the only best friend that I could ever ask for and he is an important part of my life.
  • I immigrate to Canada

    I immigrate to Canada
This event was the saddest one in my life; leaving my family and friends in Dubai behind and starting a new life in a whole different part of the world. My family was also faced with culture shock, the transition from Middle Eastern values and life to European ones were very hard. Lastly, making new friends, which I have now and they're awesome. However, 2013 is a year I would not like to live again. This picture is of my siblings and I in the airport shop.
  • Winning the Halton Film Festival Contest

Winning the Halton Film Festival Contest
The contest is also known as The Eddies. I directed and acted in a short film with my brother and submitted it to the contest, we ended up winning TWO first place awards! This made my love for acting and cinematography grow.
  • Reunited with my family!

    Reunited with my family!
After a hard year of being away from the only people I grew up with and love, I travelled back to my hometown and surprised my family! This was probably the best event that ever happened to me because it made me regain hope that no matter how far I am away from them, there is always hope that I will see them again. This picture was my first day with them back in Dubai.
  • Visiting the Sheikh Zayed Mosque

    Visiting the Sheikh Zayed Mosque
The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is located in Dubai. It is a holy and religious place that I've always wanted to go and pray there, when I finally went in 2014, it was the best feeling ever and I've never been so in touch and in love with my religion. This event made me a more spiritual and whole person. (couldn't find a better picture, sorry for my face it was 50C degrees out, LOL)
  • Graduating Grade 8

    Graduating Grade 8
I graduated Grade 8 with two awards in Overall Academic Excellence in Language Arts and Science, this made my love for those subjects grow, and I can say they are my best subjects so far!
  • I marched for Multiple Myeloma Cancer

I marched for Multiple Myeloma Cancer
I marched for Multiple Myeloma Cancer to raise awareness for the rare cancer. This event is really important to me because it birthed that need in me to want to help others and the community.
  • My sister's graduation

    My sister's graduation
This event was really important to me because it was a very emotional night as I watched my sister grow and transition into her high school phase. It made me feel so proud and it also lessened the level of responsibility that was put on me because now there's another young adult in the house, LOL.
  • Semester 1 Drama class

    Semester 1 Drama class
Drama class was a class that was so important to me because I met so many amazing people that are now the only friends that I can ask for, and people who I feel like I learned from and grew with in that short period of time. They mean the world to me and they are like a family to me.
  • I get a job at McDonalds

I get a job at McDonalds
This event was really exciting - not because I've always dreamed of working at McDonald's - but because I've always wanted a job and my own debit card and the ability to spend from MY pocket. This event is important to me because it taught me to be responsible and gave me a taste of what independency is. This picture was NOT my idea, my mom loves to take embarrassing pictures of us and she took this one, LOL
