    The effect was when the war ended france was no longer in control of canada.

    The sugar act of 1764 was the first law passed by the parliament to raise tax revenue from the colonies. It taxed the people for foreign sugar imparted from the west indians
  • The Quartering Act 1774

    They made it where you were forced to have a british soldier live with you and you had to feed them meals
    It changed people's lives and money because they had to pay more for another british soldier and had to to make them feel like they were home
  • The Boston Massacre

    A group of people got together and was mad they were throwing things and insulting the guards.
    The guards got mad and so they started to fight back and they killed 5 people in the group
  • Tea Act

    This caused it to be okay for them to sell tea without paying import tax, they keep taking it away putting it back then taking it away again.the company used its own ships and sellers thus cutting out business for colonial merchants and caused protest
    Some companies used its own method to ship and sell, which caused the people to get mad and protest about it

    Massachusetts colonist boarded british ships to go dumb 342 chests of tea into the boston river cause taxes were too high

    during the movement for independence in virginia at the end of Henry's speech he said " Give me liberty or give me death." everyone remembers this now cause liberty is important

    Thomas just wanted another point of view kind of, he wanted to see what was happening. He was kind of helping the colonist/ people, he was helping them by telling them that they need to fight against the unfair and unjust ways of King George lll and the British Parliament

    This battle can also be known as the Siege of yorktown, This battle was a decisive victory by a combined force of american army troops led by general george washington and french army
  • General Cornwallis surrenders to Washington at Yorktown

    This happend october 19, 1781 Cornwallis brought 8,000 british troops to yorktown. they expected more help to show up that they sent from New York but those ships never arrived
  • Peace Treaty Signed ending the American Revolution recognizing US independence.

    Negotiated between the united states and Great Britain, ended the revolutionary war and recognized American Independence. The came up with something called Continental Congress and named five commission to negotiate a treaty.
