  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    A seven year long war fought between the British and French. The French were allied with Indians. Fought over land.
  • Treaty of Paris 1763

    Treaty of Paris 1763
    Ended the French and Indian War. Stated that the French would give up all land in North America therefore eliminating any threat to the British colonies.
  • Proclamation Line of 1763

    Proclamation Line of 1763
    Issued by King George lll. After the French no longer had territory; the British established a line along the Appalachian mountains forbidding anyone from settlement there.
  • Sugar Act

    An act that British Parliament passed that raise tax on foreign sugar imported by colonies. British sugar given opportunity for monopoly
  • Stamp Act

    Law passed by British that stated; any paper document had to come with a tax on it.
