Nile River

The Nile river is located in Egypt. People use the Nile river for bathing,crops, and drinking. Without the Nile river Egypt would be a regular desert. The Nile river would at least flood once a year. They would pray to the gods for the river to flood so the silt could get nutrients

Hieroglyphics

The hieroglyphics was the first alphabet, but it was n picture form. Each picture that y u would see represented a letter.

Gods and Goddesses

3100 BCE

The Egyptians prayed to their gods and goddesses for their needs. They believed there was a god/goddess for everything. A well known was Re the sun god.

Social status

3000 BCE

The social status is what sorted the Egyptians into their groups. The Pharaoh and whoever is related to the pharaoh was at the top and the unskilled servants were at the bottom.

Mummies

2600 BCE

Mummies are preserved dead bodies. Egyptians would turn people into mummies after they had die. People that didn't have a high social status would get buried in the sand and get mummified naturally With the pharaohs the priest had to mummify it because the body would be put in a tomb

The Sphinx

The Sphinx is a type of pyramid type of building that's in the shape of a lion with a human's head. The Sphinx was built to serve a cult of a dead king and the sun god.

Pyramids

The pyramids were built by the slaves and farmers in Ancient Egypt. The pyramids were temples for their dead pharaohs where they mummify them because of their beliefs. Insde of the temples are usually jewels and gold pretty much treasure.
