The First Fleet
On the 13th of May, 1787 The First Fleet which is 11 boats left England. They left England because the English people wanted more land. In January 1788 they arrived at Botany Bay and took a long time. It was an uncomfortable journey because of the rough seas. In this case Australia started having English people. -
Gold Rush
The First Australian Gold Rush offically started in 1851 and ended in1870s. Lots of countries came including China, Europe and Middle East. People came because of money. During the gold rush the population changed. The Australian Culture has been changed because different cultures coming to one place. -
Post World War I
World War 1 started in 28th of July, 1914 at Europe and ended in 1918. After the war people migrated to Australia to start fresh after going through difficulties. It has change the Australian culture by having a different race. -
Post World War 2
In the 2nd of September 1945 World War 2 ended. In that time Robert Menzies was Australia's Prime Minister. His motto was "Populate or perish." So it started bring people from World War 2 to Australia. It brought different backgrounds to change the Australian Culture. -
Migration from Indochina (Vietnam & Cambodia)
The Indochina migration is when the Vietnamese and Cambodian people migrate to Australia using boats an example is because of the Vietnam War. The Indochina Migration and Refugee Assistance Act was passed on May the 23, 1975. Some people came to Australia to start fresh because of these wars. The culture has been changed because we have Asian people in the Australian Culture. -
Modern Migration

Modern migration is about people from different types of countries who migrate to Australia to start a new life and have better education. Since technology has change people who migrate now use planes instead of boats. This changes the Australian culture by having different types of people from different background.
