    • Samueul de Champlain was one of the first french traders in Canada, he and other traders got the furs from the aboriginals and white trappers.

    -in the 1700's the French and English traders fought over the regions leading to the French and Indian war in 1754.
    -aboriginal communities died because of a diesease called small poxs brought in by the Europeons in the blankets and other items they traded.
