    End of The Frensh and Inidian War
    The French and Inidan War was fought between the French and their Indian allies against the British. The war ended with British victory, the British won the lands of Ohio River Valley, Florida, and Canada. Britian's debt caused them to pass many acts and laws on the American colonist to improve their economy, acts such as the, Sugar Act, Tea Act, and the Stamp act.

    The Proclamation of 1763 was a law that closed off the frontier of the english colonies. This law was passed in order to calm the fear of Indians who the British didnt want rising up in another rebellion like Pontiacs rebellion which they could not afford. This greatly angered the colonist because they had believed that once they had won the war they had much more land to colonize, this fueled great resentment against England from the colonists.

    The Sugar Act was tax put on the colonies by Britain on products such as sugar, molasses, coffee, certain wines and other goods when imported. The Stamp Act was passed in order to bring the colonies in line when it came to paying taxes. The Stamp Act reduced the markets to which the colonies could sell and made it so they had less money to buy British manufactered goods.

    The Stamp Act was a set of taxes on paper and all other types of paper goods and documentations. The Stamp Act was Englands first attempt at asserting their control over the colonies. This caused the colonists to immediately start protesting and boycotting British goods and even led to the formation of the Sons of Liberty.

    The Quartering Act was a st of laws that were passed that forced the American colonists to provide shelter, food, drink and any other need to British soldiers and officers that were staying in the colonies. The purpose of these laws was to put the colonies in the millitary hold of Britain and also because milltary officers found it too difficult to get colonial assemblies to quarter and supply their troops.The colonists greatly disliked the act because it went against the Bill of Rights.

    The Boston Massacre was a fight between some colonist and a few British soldiers, several colonists were killed. This event made the colonists feel angry about the British, this soon led the to armed rebellion throughout the colonies.

    The Tea Act was an attempt to sell massive amounts of tea in the colonies which the East India Company was unable to sell, the tea was to be shipped to the colonies and sold at a good price in order to buy the support of the colonists. The Tea Act also gave the East India Company full control over the trade and sale of tea in the colonies. The East india Companies monopoly on the tea trade angered the colonists.

    The Boston Tea Party was when the colonists were unhappy about the tax that the Parliament put on tea, event though the price was low the colonists still resented the tax due to it being put on without theit consent, so they dumped the whole cargo into the sea while dressed as Indians.

    The Intolerable Acts were four laws set up by the British Parliament that resticted the colonies in different ways, such as preventing goods to be shipped to Boston, regulating the Massacusets government and impartial administration of justice during the suppresion of riots. The Intolerable Acts were passed in order to suppress the colonists but only succeeded in angering the colonists because they felt their rights were being broken.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The Battle of Lexinton and Concord was two battles between the British and colonial rebels. These battles took place after a British gneral sent troops to capture the rebel leaders Sam Adams and John Hancock, but the plan was leaked and the army was intercepted at Lexington. After defeating the colonial militia the British army marched to Concord and were intercepted by more colonial militia and were forced to retreat. This encounter started what would come to be known as the American Revolution
