    Peasants wanted change and end the rule of the Dynasty. The western influence modernized the economy. EX. factories/dockyards produced modern weapons and ships and sent students to Europe to study western ways

    To get rid of foreigners and end the rule of Qing Dynasty. China was forced to allow foreign troops on Chinese soil and foreign warships in Chinese waters which meant the foreginers had control over china

    After a power struggle between Mao's widow and Deng Xiaping, Deng was now the leader of China who wanted to achieve Wealth and Power for China through Economic Reform. The reform was based on Free Market/Capitalist ideas, allowing China to foreign trade and foreign investment in Chinese companies/industries.
