Second Bull Run Battle

Farragut gets Moblie Bay
image credit This victory showed the Union's superiority at sea and got them closer to Atlanta. It also got them control of the Mississippi which the North could easily get supplies to other places. -
Sherman Captures Atlanta

President Lincoln gets re-elected
