The Colorado racing commission was established in 1949. to adopt rules and conduct live greyhound racing meets, to promote health and safety of the animals involved in races, to promote commercial benefits and entertainment, to foster honesty and fair dealing in the industry, to promote live greyhound races and generate money for the general fund. -
