First Significant life changing event. Lost Grandfather whom he was very close with. 12 years old at the time. -

Attended Great Bridge High School. Throughout high school my father surfed off of the coast of Virginia and North Carolina. He played football, basketball and ran track. During the summers he worked in construction and developed an impeccable work ethic. The work he did included working for contractors in painting, insulation, and landscaping. 1984-1987 -
Freshmen year at Elon
Started college at Elon University in Burlington North Carolina. Attending classes to determine his major. Expanded horizons socially and decided to rush a fraternity. 1987-1988 -
Sophomore year at Elon
Determined his major in business with a focus in accounting. Joined Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Met lifelong friends. -
Junior year at Elon
Assumed the role of Fraternity Treasurer. Began contributing to the local community through service work, which in turn led to a meeting with former vice president Dan Quail. -
Senior year at Elon
Assumed role as Vice President of Fraternity and student government. Developed and expanded leadership skills through on campus volunteer work. Also participated in a winter term semester at Brigham Young University on the north shore of Oahu. -
Summer of 1990-1991
Worked in restaurants on the outer banks during the summers of 1990 and 1991. -
Gap year
Moved to Aspen Colorado. Fell in love with skiing. Skied 110 days in one season. Worked multiple jobs just to obtain a ski pass. Slept on friends couches. Ultimately found a job as a cook working for the Aspen ski company at a restaurant called Bonnys. Here his job was peeling apples and cooking french fries. He met many famous people here including Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Billy Idol. Moved on from Aspen Colorado and did a tour of the pacific ultimately landing in San Diego California. -
Started work for Fastenal
Moved back home to Chesapeake Virginia. Worked for industrial supply company Fastenal. 1993-1995 -
National Sales Award
Won the national sales award for the top sales representative in the company. -
Started work for Chering-Plow
Joined the pharmaceutical industry as a sales representative in Washington DC for Chering-Plow. 1995-1997 -
