    When I was five years old my parents purchased Foxtel for our home. Our cable television was fantastic as we had a large variety of different programs to watch at a range of different times.

    When I was five years old my family was blessed with a computer from my mum's brother. My siblings and I were excited to have a computer in our own home as we'd only had ever used them at school. I used the computer create artwork on Paint and to play Mind Sweeper.

    After my family received our first computer my mum enforced the rule that if either my siblings or myself would like to use the computer we must practice typing with the Teaching-you Touch Typing program. This program taught me to become a fluent and confident touch typer from the age of six years old.

    In 2003 my parent's purchased a DVD player along with several different movies to be played on it. My siblings and I were fascinated that we no longer that to fast forward or rewind videos on our VCR player as our new DVD player conventionally did it automatically.

    For my younger brother's fifth birthday my parent's took my siblings and I to the movies to see Spy Kids 3D. This was the first 3D movie we'd seen to which we were in awe of the 3D images.

    Three years after my family received a computer we install internet onto it. Being a young age of eight I didn't have a lot of use for the internet other then to play online games.

    A week after the internet was accessible at home my older sister created an email address for me. My email address allowed me to contact my family in Adelaide and Queensland daily.

    I began to used MSN Messenger not long after my email address was created. I was truly amazed by MSN as I was able to communicate with a few of my friends after school hours without having to speak to them on the phone. MSN was a great tool for me to use to practice my typing and spelling and grammar.

    For my 11th birthday I bought myself my first digital camera with the gift money I'd received. I took my digital camera with me to majority of the places I went to and used it especially when I was hanging out with friends.

    My siblings and I received a Nintendo Wii as a Christmas gift in 2007. We thoroughly enjoyed playing video games with the cordless remote as we could move around so freely. Our favorite game was tennis on Wii Sport as it required the same movement as real tennis in order to play.

    At the age of 12 I was using Myspace which allowed me to keep up to date with my friends lives (despite me seeing them at school everyday) and for them to keep up with mine. My friends and I purely used Myspace to post daily photos and to constantly update our statuses with 'how we were feeling'.

    When I was 12 my parents gave me a mobile phone to use in order to communicate with them if I was out. I was absolutely thrilled with my Motorolla flip phone and the bit of freedom I was given as I was able to text my friends whenever I pleased.

    I received an iPod Shuffle as a Christmas present in 2008 to which I immediately downloaded music on to. I enjoyed having the privacy of listening to music without it being played on my CD Player and computer for all to hear. My iPod Shuffle came in handy on long car drives as it served as great entertainment and made time go faster.

    I created at Facebook account when I was 13-years-old after the use of Myspace in my social community decreased. Facebook was a great tool as I realised it was a combination of Myspace and MSN. Facebook allows me to keep up to date with friends and families lives and it's a great source of communication.

    The Nokia E63 was the second mobile phone I'd received. I absolutely loved my phone as it had a qwerty keyboard which simplified texting and internet access which allowed me to be online out of home.

    When I was 15 years old was employed at McDonald's for my first part time job. All McDonald's staff used a website called Metime in order to communicate with each other, to received rosters and to place availability. Metime was extremely to use as I didn't have to leave my home to check my roster nor did I have to chase up other my co-workers with phone calls and text messages.

    When I was 15-years-old I received my first iPhone. Not only was I fascinated by the touch screen, I was loving the camera quality, how easy it was to access the internet with one touch and the amount of different games I was capable of downloading.

    At the beginning on Year 10 my whole high school received Netbook laptops to use for school work during and after class. Although it convenient to type out notes in class and complete homework I did prefer hand writing as it was what I had done at school for the past 10 years.

    For the past three years at my work we'd use timesheets to record our labor hours which would then be processed by management at the end of each fornight to which shortly after we'd be paid. Recently, my work has implemented the process of recording our hours through a website called Xero. Xero not only allows me to submit my time sheet, it keeps record of my payslips and leave allowing the pay service to be a lot more accessible and convenient.

  • Mazda 2 (2015) rental car

    Mazda 2 (2015) rental car
    After my Holden Barina was crashed into I was provided with a rental car while mine was being repaired. The car I received was a Mazda 2 (2015). The Mazda 2 is a keyless car and required the push of a button to start. Although it's tricky to get use to it's an a lot safer car to drive as it turns the lights on automatically when it's dark. It also beeps if you've left your light on or if you've forgotten to lock your doors.
