    The essence of the experiment

    The essence of the experiment
The purpose of the experiment is to show that quantum mechanics is incomplete without some rules that specify under what conditions is the collapse of the wave function and the cat either becomes dead or remains alive, but ceases to be a mix of both. Since it is clear that the cat must be either alive or dead (there is no state intermediate between life and death), it will be the same and the atomic nucleus. It must be either broken or neraspavshemsya

    How it all began
Erwin Schrodinger- Austrian theoretical physicist, one of the founders of quantum mechanics. The winner of the Nobel prize in physics.

    Еarly career
In October 1911, after a year's service in the Austrian army, Schrodinger returned the Second physical Institute of the University of Vienna as an assistant. He led classes on physical workshop as well as participated in experimental studies.
  • Schrodinger's cat

    Schrodinger's cat
Schrödinger's cat — a thought experiment proposed by Austrian physicist-theorist, one of the founders of quantum mechanics, Erwin schrödinger, whom he wanted to show the incompleteness of quantum mechanics in the transition from subatomic to macroscopic systems.
  • "Dead and alive"

    "Dead and alive"
According to quantum mechanics, if the kernel is not the observation, its state is described by superposition (mixture) of two States — decayed nuclei and neraspavshemsya kernel, hence, the cat sitting in a box, alive and dead at the same time. If the box is open, then the experimenter can only see any one particular state "— collapsed, the cat is dead" or "core disintegrated, the cat's alive".
