  • Albany Congress

    the Albany congress is the British government. It took place in Albany, New York. the Albany congress expected war to break out soon. They wanted the Iroquois to their alliances.it took place in 1754

    French and Indian War

    French and the Indians vs. British and Colonist and the Iroquois. fighting over the Ohio river valley. North America. The British won the French and Indian war. the French lost their land.
  • Treaty of Paris

    France and the British signed the Treaty of Paris in 1763. The French could not defend their Northern Territory's so they ceded or surrendered. they signed the Treaty of Paris in Canada. the British gained all other French territory.
  • The Quarting Act

    This proclamtion was passed in 1763 and the purpose of it is to save money. This Act required British troop to stay with a family and have that family to provide warmth, food, and a place to sleep. But once again the colonist protested.
  • Sugar Act

    The British imposed new taxes on the colonies in 1764. It included several products with tax on them such as molasses. It called harsh punishment when molasses or any item with tax to be smuggled. There where protests.

    Pontiac's War

    The last days of the French and Indian War. Pontiac and his allies attacked British forts and settlements throughout the areas. Nearly half the British forts were destroyed and at least 2,000 back settler were killed.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    The British government issued the proclamation of 1763. The Proclamation banned colonial settlement west of the Appalachia Mountains. Settlers were told they had to move east of the line.
  • Stamp act

    This law was passed on March 22 1765. This law I forced that colonists were to buy a special tax stamps and these stamps were placed on newspapers, licenses, wills, insurance, etc
  • The Boston massacre

    The protesters worked once again.the boycott hurt Brithis merchants and manufacturers on March 5 1770. There was no more tax expect on tea. The tax on tea was left be caused the parliament need right to tax the colonists but the parlament didn't act on time.
  • Tea Act

    The British parliament passed this law in 1773 to help the British East India company. Its called the Tea Act. One of the Britains most important companies. The company have made tea in India and sold it in Britain and over the colonies. But as stated in the text the colonial boycott hurt the company
  • Boston Tea Party

    The sons of liberty organized for the port cities to not allow East India tea to upload.they threatened shop captains and colonial tea merchants after that no tea was ported in New York Philadelphia or any other ports. For more than two weeks feelings in Boston were tense , Finally on the night of December, 16, 1773 a large crowed gathered in the harbor, throwing 342 cases of tea overboard they destroyed 90,000 pounds of tea that's worth thousands of dollars.
  • Intolerable Act

    On March 24 1774 the British king was out raged so was the British Government. The answer to this incident was four laws that had been passed. the first law passed was to close all ports of Boston. the second 2 abolished the upper house of the Massachusetts legislatuer and cut the powers of town meetings. the last law strengthened the law of the quartering act.

    The second continental congress came together on May 10 1775. The congress included Thomas Jefferson, a lawyer from Virginia, and John Hancock.
  • Battle for fort ticonderoga

    Fort Ticonderoga stood at the southern end of lake Champlain. this fort was important for two reasons, one it held the route for Canada and Hudson river valley. Also it helped with weapon transportation.
  • Olive Branch Petition

    The olive branch petition was sent to king George. The petition stated that the colonist were loyal to their king. also it asked king George to stop fighting. the petition got its name from the olive branch symbol ( which meant peace). but it did not get passed because king George said "we are in open".

    the battle of bunker hill was caused because of controlling the Americans. George Washington stepped up to be the captain of the army in July of 1775. Washington new that his army needed powerful weapons for his troops to win war.

    December 31 1775 the Americans attacked Quebec for food. the Americans attacked Quebec during a suvere snowstorm so they woldnt see them coming/marching

    The continental congress took place in Philadelphia September through October 1774. John Adams, Samuel Adams, John Jay, and George Washington, and Patrick Henry. IT demanded the end of the Intolerable Act
