After the FRench and indian war British made law that colonict can not move west. This made colonist annoyed -
Stamp Act
After the war the British needed money so they imposed a tax that made colonist get a stamp for all paper goods. This angered colonist since they had no Representation in Parlement. -
Quartering act
British passed act that made colonist keep soldiers in thier houses. This angered the colonist and made them resent the British soldiers. -
Townshend acts
A series of acts that made colonist pay even more taxes. This mad colonist very angry and led to a boycott of britsh products. later most of the taxes were repealed except for the tax on tea. -
Boston masacre
Due to the unethical taxes imposed on the colonist they were very angry. On this night they decided to take there anger out on some soldiers. The colonist threw things and taunted the soldiers. In the chaos the british fired into the crowd killing a few people. When colonist found out what happened they were outraged. -

In protest to the tax on tea men in boston pour tea on a ship into the water. This mad the British very angry -
Intolerable acts
As punishment for the boston tea party the British passed a series of acts they called the corecive acts. The colonist called them the Intolerable acts as they were cruel and unjust. -
First Continental Congress
Was a meeting of delegates from twelve of the thirteen colonies. They wrote a petition to the king and called for a boycott -
Lexington and Concord
British soldiers went to arrest leaders and confiscate gunpowder but in Lexington they were stopped by an army of minute men. There was a short battle and the British kept going. once they got to Concord there was a much larger army and the colonist were able to make them retreat, This was the start of the revolutionary War -
Battle of Bunker Hill
THe British attacked the colonist on Bunker hill eventually forcing them to retreat from the hill. Even though the colonistlost the hill they still proved there corage agaiint the british. -
Battle of Saratoga
The british attempted to seperate colonial forces in New England./ They failed and this caused the French to make an alliance with the rebels. -
Battle of Yorktown
The british get trappedand are forced to surrender. End of the Revolutionary war -
