Many people died in the Vietnam War and tensions increased between the US and North Korea. The Vietnam War not only cause tensions with North Korea, but it helped stop the spread of communism.

    Wallace tried to stop desegregation of the University of Alabama but JFK sent troops to force the integration. So, Wallace came to make a speech to try and stop the integration the very next day. However, the students were enrolled and Wallace's plan didn't work. The integration of U of A was important because it made a huge impact on the Civil Rights Movement and showed the nation that segregation was going to be stopped.

JFK's assassination was important to history because many people have never seen a President killed and seeing JFK killed made a very big political impression on the people at that time.

Wallace getting shot was important to history because it showed how strongly people fought about civil rights and what one act of power could change the view point of people.

They were trying to wiretap and steal secret documents. Nothing like this has ever been done before and caused Watergate to be a huge scandal, whether Nixon knew about it or not is still unknown.

The assassination attempt on Gerald Ford gave America a wake up call. So many assassinations had been happening and we are starting to learn that we need better security.

This showed the American people just how hot it was and made them weary to do anything outside. People are still cautious about heat exhaustion today.

    President Ronald Reagan was shot by John Hinckley Jr. just outside the Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C. Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity. This is one of the most recent assassination attempts of a President and every time something like this happens, people obviously get scared and never want something like it to never happen again. It's even worse because Hinckley was found not guilty.
